Abstract:   Supercomputing is moving from the realm of abstract to mainstream with more and more applications and research ported to this digital world. Over the years, the HPC environment and applications have gone through certain changes in Taiwan, especially after the regular service of the supercomputer installed last year in NCHC. Great computers won’t serve the purpose alone without the scientific/engineering applications. In this presentation, the status of key applications that utilize the HPC systems in Taiwan, especially in NCHC will be updated. In addition, an update regarding the status of the Cloud Computing in Taiwan will also be addressed.
