Name: Energy Efficient HPC Centers – At What Cost?
Time: Tuesday, June 19, 2012
9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Room:   Hall 4
CCH - Congress Center Hamburg
Chair(s):   Gabriele von Voigt, Regional Computer Center of Lower Saxony, Leibniz Universität Hannover
Abstract:   The energy consumption of the individual parts and the whole HPC system is constantly growing. Furthermore, the increase of the energy cost in the next years is not predictable but surely, it will be quite enormous. Thus, solutions for the energy problem of HPC centers are needed.
