Prof. Dr. Gabriele von Voigt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gabriele von Voigt received her Diploma and Doctoral degree in Computer Science, both at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2003 she finished her habilitation (Venia legendi) in Medical Informatics at the Free University of Berlin. In the same year she accepted the position as the Managing Director of the Regional Scientific Computer Centre (RRZN) and the Professorship for Distributed Virtual Reality in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Leibniz University of Hannover. In 2004 she became Director of the L3S Research Center. She is the German Delegate in the e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) for about 4 years.

Beforehand, the major professional steps were the employment as the head of Information Services at the University Hospital Benjamin Franklin, Berlin, as the production manager of Pixelpark GmbH Berlin and software developer with Condat GmbH, as a project manager in various projects at the Technical University of Berlin and as a lecturer in computer graphics and human-computer interaction in the department of Computer Science at the University College London.
