Prof. Dr. Zhong Jin

Associate Professor, Supercomputing Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences

Dr. Zhong Jin is currently an Associate Professor in Supercomputing Center, Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SCCAS). In 2006, he pursued his PhD in computational chemistry in Department of Chemistry, Emory University, United States. Dr. Jin’s research focuses on algorithms, methods of high performance computational chemistry. Now he is running the Virtual Laboratory for Computational Chemistry which facilitates computational chemists to use software, computer for carrying out their computing jobs, visualizing molecule and analyzing calculation results in their scientific research. His research projects includes developing a high performance computational chemistry system integrating self-developed computational software packages, user graphical interface and building a computational chemistry virtual community based on Grid computing technology. He already had more than thirty publications published in SCI, EI and other journals and approximately ten invited talks in many kinds of conferences. In addition, Dr. Jin is in charge of international relations of SCCAS.
